Seldén launches E40rev – an electric Reversible winch

Seldén is proud to introduce the E40rev, a 2-speed electric winch that operates in both forward and reverse. The world premiere will take place at boot Düsseldorf, January 17–25, where the winch will be showcased at Seldén’s stand (Hall 10, Stand E21). The E40rev will also be featured on the all-new Saffier SE 28 Leopard.

The E40rev electric winch gives sailors full control of their running rigging in both directions: forward for trimming and reverse for smooth, controlled easing – all without removing the line from the self-tailer.

By eliminating the need to handle heavily loaded lines, the E40rev significantly reduces the risk of injury and makes sail handling safer and easier, particularly when sailing short-handed or solo. All operations are managed via a push button, keeping hands safely clear of both rope and winch.

Built on Seldén’s proven S-series platform and equipped with the patented ART drum, the E40rev delivers reliable grip, smooth self-tailing, and the option for manual operation should power be unavailable. Power is supplied by Seldén’s 42V SEL-Bus system, ensuring efficient and dependable performance.

The E40rev will be available on the market in spring 2026, with larger models based on the same reversing concept to follow later in 2026.
